ABOUT THE
CONFERENCE
The UK is proud to announce that it
will be hosting this important international event on behalf of the
International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR).
The IIR is an inter-governmental organsisation with 61 member countries. The
conference is being run as a joint commission meeting of Sections B and E of
the IIR.

The event is being organised by the
International Refrigeration Committee of the UK Institute of
Refrigeration. The UK Institute is one of the oldest national societies
devoted to the advancement of mechanical refrigeration.
The Conference themes will include the full spectrum of natural working fluids and their applications:
In addition Student papers would be welcomed and a prize will be offered to the best paper submitted.
INFORMATION FOR AUTHORS
Potential authors should register
their interest using the website or
by completing the form.
Detailed instructions for the Preparation of Abstracts and Papers will be
available from the web site at www.ior.org.uk/gl2004
A programme of Technical visits, Tours and Courses and a social programme will be available. An introductory reception will take place on Sunday 28th August and the Conference Dinner will be held with access to the Hunterian Museum.
It also had a close historic connection with the refrigeration field through Rankin and Lord Kelvin.

The University of Glasgow is a leading academic
institute for mechanical
engineering.
Glasgow itself is an attractive mix of old and new, with
a Victorian legacy in architecture and industry.
Accommodation at the Conference will be offered in high quality single study
bedrooms and a range of nearby hotels.
